Role Summary
We are looking for a dynamic ICT Sales Executive to join our growing technology solutions team. This role is perfect for an ambitious, career-driven sales professional with a passion for technology and a proven track record of success in the ICT sector. You will play a critical role in driving growth by acquiring new business and managing existing accounts across our portfolio: licensed products (Microsoft 365), bespoke system operations services, hosting environments, database management, and data analytics services.
This is a permanent hybrid role, offering flexibility between remote work and client-facing engagements across South Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- New Business Development: Identify, pursue, and close new sales opportunities across our full range of ICT solutions, including Microsoft 365 licenses, cloud hosting, system operations, and data services.
- Account Management: Nurture and grow existing client relationships. Proactively upsell additional solutions aligned with customer needs.
- Consultative Sales: Engage customers with a solutions-focused approach, understanding their unique needs and tailoring proposals that showcase our bespoke services and value proposition.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools. Forecast accurately and report on sales activities regularly.
- Proposal & Presentation Development: Prepare compelling proposals, deliver client presentations, and negotiate contracts to secure business.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our technical and service delivery teams to ensure seamless handover and customer satisfaction.
- Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to inform sales strategies.
- Target Achievement: Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience: ~4–6 years in ICT sales, preferably in software licensing, managed services, or cloud/hosting environments.
- Education: Certificates and training in a relevant environment.
- Track Record: Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment.
- Technical Understanding: Familiarity with cloud solutions (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS), system operations, and data services. You don’t need to be an engineer but must speak the language of IT confidently.
- CRM Proficiency: Experience using CRM systems to manage sales pipelines and customer data.
Preferred (Bonus)
- Experience selling Microsoft 365 solutions.
- Exposure to cloud hosting services and data analytics offerings.
- Existing client network in South African SME or corporate sectors.
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle for client meetings.
